Hi All I am on of the original founders of the band which became "GOLD" back in 1968 Paul Andrews and myself began a band in his mothers basement, Paul played drums and I played guitar we called ourself's "The Lost Cause" a few months later "Chico" joined in as the bass player, then Louie became the drummer and Paul the singer, we changed the name to "Golden Gate" after the Golden Gate Bridge, the Ed Scott joined as the rhythm guitar.In 1969 I left the band and moved to the East coast and returned a year later and the band was going strong and had new name "Gold" and new members. "Coco" was the new singer, "Joe" the lead guitar and "Sebastian" played the congas. The sound was unique, funk, rock, latin, R&B. real COOOOOOL! I joined a band called "Christian Black" an afro,jazz,latin band and after 2 years joined a all latin band, now a days I write, composed and record my music, I am very proud to have be one the the founders of this of this really cool band "Gold" Thanks to Ed Scott who kept the name going and makes appearance's in a variety of venues to this day, as long as he keeps it going there will be a bit of me in the band, Thanks Ed, keep it up man.
